10:30 mile!
Not much of an achievement for some people I know, but it’s a pretty big deal for me when I haven’t ran/jogged regularly since college. I started out last Wednesday running (probably pushing too hard, considering my current fitness level) about half a mile, walking a quarter, then running the last quarter back to my place.
As of today I have successfully completed the whole mile loop…in a whopping ten and a half minutes. Quite a far cry from my mid-6s & 7s in high school, but it’s a fucking start man! Gotta fight the fatness. Err age, yeah that’s it. Curse you post-adolescent metabolism!
