Has everyone seen this already? I’m not amazed at the number of images…I guess I’m more surprised by the number of people that took the time to take them and send them in, if that makes any sense.
OK, so somehow I managed to not hear anything about the whole Scott Adams loosing his voice permanently thing until I read about how he miraculously got it back. The world is a crazy place, and I guess sometimes good things do happen to people. Man, I hope some of that luck of his spreads around.
I found a very interesting discussion over on slashdot this week. There’s the usual amount of crap and useless posts, but there are a lot of really well thought out and informative posts on the topic which is…if you -were- going to abandon the sinking ship that is the US, where else would be a good place to live?
Portland is the 43rd best city to live in in the world. The top US cites (according to this survey/site) are Honolulu & San Fran, at 27 & 28 respectively. Kind of sobering to know that the “greatest country in the world” doesn’t have a SINGLE city in the top 20.
Any computer geeks want a job at the state department, traveling the world? I wish I’d actually gotten my degree in something computer related… *le sigh*
