Link-stravaganza 2
Religion:
Everyone loves Jack Chick, but not as much as he loves Dungeons & Dragons! You can’t make up stuff this stupid.
But real people can be even stupider! I can see why a religious person might want to think dinosaurs and people lived simultaneously, but trying to say a T-Rex, raptor, etc. was a herbivore is about the stupidest fucking thing I heard throughout the entirety of last year. And I hear lots of stupid stuff.
Politics:
I linked to this youtube video of Ann Coulter for some reason. I forget why. What is up with her voice anyway?
This is old, but I found it from Barney Frank’s wiki page – yes i was wiki-ing congressmen! and women! It’s the transcript from some Steven Colbert interviews….the first one is freaking hilarious in the “I’m going to laugh at the homophobe” kind of way.
Corporate Propaganda Still On the News: Study Finds Local Stations Overwhelmingly Fail to Disclose VNRs. Worth reading.
Comics:
A nice long interview with Bendis over at Newsrama.
A side by side comparison of a few panels of Greg Land’s “artwork”. I really never liked this guy’s work, too many people just look either a) copied from photos or b) porn/blowjob faced. Kitty’s face in that top panel is god-awful.
Misc:
A groovy youtube video showing what you can do with an A/V editor and a lot of free time.
An interesting first person account from a foreigner about his experience in the Amsterdam red light district.
Bizarre Japanese game show. I know, that’s not saying much at all. Try to watch the whole thing, it’s strangely amusing.
OK! I’m finally caught up, maybe I’ll get back to blogging more regularly now. We shall see.
