just in case the spider thing wasn’t nasty enough
Another <adjective> news story passed on from co-workers.
This is just a warning, do NOT click on this link if you are upset, or easily upset, because it’s really upsetting. I’ll just spell out what it is in the link text, so you know what to avoid.
Yeah, I said it. Now, you don’t have to click on it, the link text really says all you need to know. But just in case you did read the story, and are now back at your computer after coughing up your lunch, let’s continue.
Here are some questions even a high school reporter should have asked:
1. Why was the baby alone with a pitbull? Nevermind leaving a baby alone with a dog in general, but a pit bull? I can’t stand those things anyway, they were originally bred to fight, not to be pets. Sure sure, lots of people love them, they’re great happy yummy dogs, whatever. I just don’t like them. P.S. Is it surprising that the dog had a name like “Bear”? Bears aren’t really known for being lovable and cuddly, except the Carebears, and I suspect a lot of pit bull owners are really homophobic too, so I’m not sure about naming it after a Carebear ;).
2. Why was the baby alone NAKED with a dog? If not naked then uhh, without being too graphic, what the hell happened?
3. They were mentioning the dog being “trained” to do this – but no one mentions who could have possibly trained it. It sounds like the dog was a family dog, they knew its name at least…so why would they have trained it to do that?
4. Who are these people (20+ of them) immediately calling to try and adopt Bear-the-Raping-Dog? Can we get some interviews with them? What the hell is wrong with them? They should all be beaten, and then raped by Bear. Then again, maybe that IS what they want. Barf.
5. Why were the dog and mother not fixed ahead of time? Obviously, neither of them is capable of being around a child.
OK, now that we’re calmed down a little, some logic: nothing is as it seems. I’d lay large piles of money that what was reported in the story is not what really happened. As much as I dislike pit bulls, the facts don’t add up. Some simple omissions: no scratches on the baby. Really? Hmmm. It takes dogs a while to get worked up, but the mother was only gone for a moment? Hmmm.
Hopefully, someone will get the full story and will post it so I can get some closure someday.

What?!? … More later. I just awoke from a nap and am completely unprepared to apply my rapist’s wit to this story.
