I stumbled across this track while looking up info on Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings (yes, soul is indeed making a comeback) after hearing 100 days, 100 nights on Sirius 26 (Left of Center) this morning.

Alway happy to see people discovering Bettye LaVette! Now, you’ve just GOT to see her perform “live.” When she hits the stage, you know a star has arrived.

Bettye knows that her audiences have paid to see a great show and she gives them one.

Check out her appearance on Conan a couple of weeks ago. It’s on YouTube. She sings “You Don’t Know Me At All.”
