BYO Split vols. 2 & 3

I told Brian I’d post some stuff from 2 BYO splits I have, so here we are.
First two tracks are from vol. 3: Rancid/NoFX (reverse order…except that they are covers, so the artists’ tracks are in that order ;) , second two are from vol. 2: Swinging Utters & Youth Brigade (respectively).
Both of these are very good, just as good as the Alkaline Trio/OMA split I posted some tracks from previously.
Of course, this is all providing that you like punk rock. I’m not a big NoFX fan. Ok, I’m not a fan at all, so their stuff is the weakest for me – it does help a lot that they are covering songs that are already very good though. It also doesn’t hurt their material (which I think is the weakest..).
So far I’m 3/3 with these splits – and I always find them at killer prices – so I think I’ll check out some of the others.
Hmm.
vol. 1 is Leatherface/Hot Water Music – two bands I’ve never heard of.
vol. 4 is Bouncing Souls/Anti-Flag – two decent bands, I’ll probably pick this up.
Huh, guess there were only 5 of them. Bummer.
That’s me.
By the way, the Bouncing Souls are one of my favorite bands from ‘The Punk Days.’
