My thoughts will come later, but for now you can see how the Pres feels about the whole thing. Looks like he was into it more for the event than the story. Chin up Barack, all good stories have to end, even if they end poorly.

The movie, of course. The book still manages to be a timeless classic that doesn’t get bogged down in the religious allegories it’s steeped in. (Aside: Can you imagine if this book were written by today’s Christian writers? Wow. No, it’s best if you don’t think about it.)
