JLA = Justice League of … Africa?
Writer James Robinson (whose current run on Justice League & whose limited series Cry for Justice have been… strongly disliked by this reader) mentions in a panel at Wondercon 10 that Vixen is currently off camera, and back in Africa… and putting together an African Justice League. We will see them on panel at some point in the next two years. Provided he doesn’t get thrown off the title.
If I found his writing more compelling I might be hopeful but.. well. We’ll see.
I hate to inform you but it does look like there will be a JLAfrica. After reading JLA #60 and Congorilla mentions several African Heroes (never seen print) and that he is going back to train them. Also with Batwing (African Batman) getting his own series, along with Justice League International who will rotate there members it lloks like Africa will become an untaped resource in DC Comics
Interesting, I read that as a meta-textual comment (seeing as how that universe gets wiped out – who knows if there even is a Congorilla in the new one? Yet.) – that entire comic was pretty damn meta (see: especially everything Donna Troy says). It would certainly be nice for Africa to get some attention, but I’m not getting my hopes up.
