DS9+17: A Man Alone

A Star Trek murder mystery!

I have to say, I called the “trick” like 1/4 of the way into it, but it was still an enjoyable episode.  Some of that enjoyment came from the (continued) overdone facial expressions.

When Keiko O’Brien sees those wascally kids getting into trouble?   Stern-busybody-woman-shaking-head-face ATTACK!

When guy with the creepy-as-fuck-voice that veered between rapey pedophile and rapey rapist did just about anything?  Uber-creepy-over-smiley-devil-eyes-face ATTACK!   P.S.: That guy should totally have been the villain because a) he was obviously in on it and b) he has the most rapey voice ever.  Lock him up before he hurts someone!

When Sisko jokes with Dax (or anyone)?  Creepy-over-smiley-gonna-kill-ya-face ATTACK!

So yeah, facial expressions are fun.

I wish I had the time and energy to get screen caps and mini-vids of creepy-rapey-voice-dude.  Because he was lame.

Also… dear extras in Star Trek: work harder.

Kira seems to have dialed back the over-faces a bit, which is good, and Dax (except for in the scene when she and Sisko were joking) seems pretty even, acting-wise.  As did the Doctor and Odo.  Although one would think his advances on Dax might be starting to border on incredibly annoying by this point.  But, I suppose at her age she probably finds it cute.  And they may wind up knocking boots, who knows.  I don’t remember!  Yay!
