baby!

| October 6, 2011

Not that I’ve been blogging much lately in general… but we just had son/baby#3 on the 26th of September, so that’s been keeping me a little more occupied than normal. 8lbs 4oz, healthy.  Long labor, lots of work for my wife (natural birth :) ).  I just tried to help out and be supportive.  Truly [...]

vomit and brackish water and old bedcovers

| July 2, 2011

So there’s some kind of… well, I don’t want to call it a leak because I can’t find a single goddam thing LEAKING… so we’ll call it an “emanation”.   There’s some kind of a water emanation in our basement.  I would think it was coming up from the floor but uh … there are no [...]

“bagkgon train”

| April 8, 2011

Just recently my boys (2 & 3.5) decided that they liked Downbound Train [not embedded because I couldn't find the album version] – the title above is an attempt to transfer into letters the sounds that are produced by my oldest when he names the song.  Yes, it IS adorable.  Maybe they just like it [...]

Merry xmas and whatnot from our flannels & my beard

| December 24, 2010

… and also from us in general :). If it were easier to take your own pictures… it would be easier. Happy holidays, etc.!

the worst day of my life

| April 15, 2010

I’m hesitant about posting this, because it’s kind of painful… but I went to the emotional and typographical (real word, being used by me in completely the wrong way) trouble of creating it, so here it is: A post of Rachel’s got me thinking about a day I both wish I could never remember and [...]

Curious George and the Firefighters, edited

| July 7, 2009

OK people, here’s the deal: I’ve had to read this book to Z about 2 million times so far, and besides wanted to burn it in an unholy inferno, I also want to track down the writer and editor and accidentally knock them into the same glorious blaze.  Why? Because I’m anal.  I know, I [...]

having children changed me

| March 26, 2009

No, not giving birth, because Jen did all the work there, but the metaphor & posession part of “having”. [Warning: May contain mush and cheese.  Viewers may not want to have full stomachs.] So right, “duh” right? It changes everyone. This I know, but some of the changes are more interesting, from an internal perspective, [...]

My second son made my 1st one bigger!

| March 17, 2009

It’s true.  I can never see Z as a baby anymore. M is so tiny…even the briefest exposure of the two simultaneously to my perception field has forever warped/awakened it.  Z is now huge! I’m like, expecting him to start job hunting any day; it’s creepy.

5 days in

| March 9, 2009

and I don’t have a whole lot to say about it (being a family of four).  Nothing in the earth shattering realm anyway. It seems like it’s only been a day…somehow the time went by REALLY fast.  He’s extra adorable, although not much on personality yet – although, if things can be read into it, [...]

baby M is here

Yes.  He REALLY looks like his brother.
